High Mountain Camping 7,385 ft.
Kings Hill Campground is a great place to find high mountain adventuring! In the summer, this is the the recreational center of mountain biking, hiking, and motor vehicle trails. Showdown Montana Ski Area is located directly below the campground, but offers no services during the summer months. However, during the week when employees are there, you can check the facilities out and find a friendly local to talk to. You are also welcomed to visit the Forest Service fire tower at the top of Porphyry Peak from June 1 through Labor Day Weekend to see one of the best views of the Little Belts and learn about how the fire tower works! Kings Hill Campground is not open during the winter.
RESERVATIONS FOR CAMPING ARE NOT REQUIRED. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.
